2011—2019 Ford Explorer® A-Pillar Trim Detachment Recall

Electronic key fob for a Ford vehicle

Recall Reference Number: 24S02

Building vehicles you can count on is one of our most important jobs, which is why Ford has issued a recall on certain 2011–2019 Ford Explorer SUVs.

The A-pillar exterior trim, found on either side of the front windshield, may be loose, missing, or become detached from the vehicle. This could create a road hazard for others, increasing the risk of a crash.

Once parts are available, customers will be notified and may have access to complimentary Ford Mobile and Pick-up Delivery services at participating dealerships.

For convenience, a Mobile Technician may be available to inspect and provide service where the owner is at. Appointments can be made online, in the FordPass® App, or by contacting a local Ford Dealer.

Keeping drivers and passengers safe is one of our top priorities. For questions or concerns about the Explorer SUV safety recall 24S02, please call us at 1-866-436-7332. A Ford Recall team member will be happy to assist you.

As always, thank you for being a Ford Owner.
