Recall Reference Number: 22S73
There is nothing more important to us than the safety of our customers, which is why Ford is issuing a safety recall on some 2021, 2022 and 2023 Bronco Sport and 2020, 2021 and 2022 Escape models. There is a chance the fuel injector can crack, which may lead to an underhood fire. If you own or lease a Bronco Sport or Escape from these model years, you can check your recall status by entering your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) here.
The updated software and parts needed to complete this service are now available. You can book an appointment online, in your Ford app, or contact your local Ford Dealer. A Mobile Technician may be available to inspect and service your truck where you are and at your convenience.
A strong smell of gasoline can be a sign that your SUV may have a cracked fuel injector. If you smell gas or smoke, or see smoke, park your SUV in a safe location and contact your Ford Dealer to have your vehicle inspected.
