Third Row PowerFold Seat Troubleshooting for the 2025 Expedition

If your 2025 Expedition^® SUV third-row seats are not folding properly, you can fix them using the re-learn procedure. Check out this video showing the re-learn procedure or follow the instructions below to get started.

1. Start your vehicle.
2. Open the power liftgate/tailgate.
3. Remove all items from the third-row seats, including any objects that prevent the seats from folding up or down. 
4. Slide the second-row seats forward.
5. Push and hold the center Third-Row Power Fold Seat control button which controls both left and right seats (located between 3L and 3R) for 1 minute. The seats will begin to move.

6. Continue holding the button for an additional 5 seconds after the seats have stopped moving.
7. Press the 3L and 3R buttons independently to verify that the seats are folding properly.

If the third-row power fold function does not perform correctly, schedule a service appointment with your local Ford Dealer.
