How do I connect my phone with SYNC®4 or SYNC 4A?

With hands-free communication expected, rather than an exception, it makes sense that we’ve made pairing your Bluetooth^® enabled Apple^® or Android™ compatible** device to your SYNC 4* or SYNC 4A system as easy as possible.

To connect a smartphone to your vehicle using SYNC 4 Technology, simply:

1. Make sure you enable Bluetooth on your device
2. Press ADD A PHONE and follow the prompts

SYNC 4 or SYNC 4A will then present you with a pop-up on the screen with a passcode. You will have to verify that the code on SYNC 4 or 4A matches the code on your Android or Apple phone or tablet.

To connect a tablet or iPod or similar Bluetooth enabled device to your vehicle using SYNC 4 Technology, simply:

1. Make sure you enable Bluetooth on your device
2. Press SETTINGS on the touchscreen (for SYNC 4A, the SETTINGS TILE can be found inside the VEHICLE DRAWER. That TILE is on the left-hand side of the touchscreen).
3. Press CONNECTIVITY
4. Press BLUETOOTH
5. Press ADD A BLUETOOTH DEVICE

^*Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
