The safety of you and your passengers is key to every vehicle we build. That is why we’ve issued a recall for some Ford Lightning F-150 Platinum and LARIAT model trucks.
Certain 2022—2023 model year F-150® Lightning® Platinum and LARIAT model trucks may have microscopic cracks in the outer lens of the rear lightbar. These can grow larger during normal driving and from slamming the tailgate shut. This may cause condensation and water to enter, resulting in the backup lights flickering or not working altogether. If your vehicle is affected, others may not see your vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
