How do I find the Gross Combination Weight Rating of my Ford?
The Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR), also referred to as the Gross Combined Weight Rating, of a vehicle is the maximum allowable weight of the vehicle, cargo, passengers, and trailer combined.
The GCWR is determined by several factors: vehicle, engine, transmission, axle ratio, optional equipment, and trailer hitch type used (e.g., weight distributing, non-weight distributing, or gooseneck).
To find the GCWR:
- Visit the Recreational Vehicle (RV) & Trailer Towing Guides page on the Ford Fleet website.
- Select the Towing Guide for your vehicle's model year.
- Refer to the Axle Ratio table to determine your rear axle ratio and Limited Slip.
Tip: To search the Towing Guide on a computer, press CTRL+F on your keyboard to open a search box in your browser. You can then enter any term, such as "GCWR," to search the guide.
