FordPass Feature Removal FAQs
Why are the Smart Hitch, Pro Power Onboard, and Onboard Scales features no longer available in FordPass?
Some 2021-2023 F-150/Transit, 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning, and 2023 F-Super-Duty vehicles may experience issues utilizing the Smart Hitch, ProPower Onboard, or Onboard Scales features (if equipped) in the FordPass App.
Symptoms may include:
- The inability to connect.
- Incorrect data displayed in FordPass.
- No weight displayed.
- Unable to power on/off the feature.
- Unable to turn on generator mode (gas vehicles only).
The connection for these features has been removed from the Android™** version of the FordPass app, and will soon be removed from the iOS®*** version. The Smart Hitch and Onboard Scales were removed from FordPass functionality as of Mar. 1, 2023. Full functionality of these features will remain in-vehicle, but will not be controllable from FordPass.

How do I check which FordPass App version I have?
Complete the following steps:
- Open the FordPass App on your device.
- Navigate to the Home screen.
- Tap Account in the upper right corner.
- Select Help.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Device Information.
Note: Your Application Version is the first menu item.
