How do I remote start* using FordPass®**?
After activating your FordPass® Connect† modem, you will have direct access to remote start your vehicle in FordPass. Use the steps below for more information.
Before you begin, ensure the following conditions are met:
- Your vehicle is equipped with SYNC®††/FordPass Connect.
- Your vehicle has been added to FordPass.
- Your FordPass Connect modem is activated.
Remote Start Using FordPass
- Open the FordPass App.
- Navigate to the Home screen.
- Press and hold the Engine Start button to start your vehicle.
An alert will be displayed once your vehicle has started successfully. The alert banner displays for 10 seconds.
How can I personalize the remote start duration?
After remote starting, your vehicle can run for five, ten, or fifteen minutes before shutting off. If your vehicle fails to automatically shut off, you will be notified.
