What This EV Routing for Android Auto Software Update Does

This update prepares your vehicle for EV routing functionality to be added within your Google Maps experience. When using Android Auto in your updated Ford EV, Google Maps can:

• Calculate energy consumption along your route
• Automatically include chargers along the route when needed
• Predict vehicle state of charge upon arrival to a routed destination
• Precondition your vehicle en route when navigating to DC fast chargers for expedited charging at arrival
• Predict how much time is needed for charging

Which Vehicles Are Receiving This Software Update

The following vehicle models will support this enhancement:

• All Ford Mustang Mach-E^® SUV model years
• All Ford F-150^® Lightning^® truck model years

Use this feature anytime you’re planning a trip in your Ford EV. Set a destination using Google Maps through Android Auto and enjoy the expanded charging-related information now available.

To ensure it works, you’ll want to meet these requirements:

• Update your Google Maps app to a version containing the EV routing feature
• Connect your phone to your in-vehicle display via Android Auto projection
• Successfully install this software update in your Mustang Mach-E or F-150 Lightning
