What is Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection on my Ford?

Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses radar and camera technology to scan the roadway ahead and sounds a warning if a collision with a vehicle or pedestrian is detected. Watch the video above to find out more.

To find out if a vehicle has Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection available, download an order guide:

  1. Visit the Ford media website.
  2. Select the Vehicles tab and choose a vehicle.
  3. Select Order Guide.

Tip: To search the order guide, press CTRL + F to open a search box in your browser. You can then enter any term, such as Pedestrian Detection, to search the guide.

WARNING: Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking can detect pedestrians, but not in all conditions and does not replace safe driving. Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. See Owner's Manual for system limitations.
