What is On-Demand Conditioning for Ford all-electric vehicles?
On-Demand Conditioning lets you prepare your vehicle's cabin and battery with a single tap in your Ford app.
When using On-Demand Conditioning, your vehicle prioritizes cabin comfort and will prepare the battery once the cabin reaches the desired temperature.
Notes:
- On-Demand Conditioning is currently available on the 2026 Mustang Mach-E® vehicle only.
- Other vehicles can use:
- Departure Times to condition the cabin and battery.
- Remote Climate Start to prepare the cabin.

Using On-Demand Conditioning
Take the following steps.
- Open the Ford app.
- Navigate to the Vehicle screen.
- Tap the Fan icon.
On-Demand Conditioning will begin shortly and will continue for 1 hour. The Ford app will display "Preparing Cabin and Battery" and the completion time.

Departure Times allow you to schedule conditioning of your vehicle’s cabin and battery in advance. This is great if you have a predictable departure schedule. To condition your vehicle’s battery with a Departure Time, your vehicle must be plugged in.

On-Demand Conditioning helps prepare your vehicle’s cabin and battery for optimal range and comfort in all weather conditions. Your vehicle will use energy from the grid if it is plugged in and from the battery if unplugged.

- On-Demand Conditioning cannot be enabled if the vehicle has 30 or fewer miles of estimated range.
- If On-Demand Conditioning is active and the vehicle reaches 30 miles of estimated range, the feature will automatically shut off.
