What do I do if my Mustang Mach-E is unresponsive, and I am locked out?
If your Mustang Mach-E® won't unlock or respond, it may be due to a drained 12-volt (V) battery. Follow the steps below to safely access the vehicle's front compartment, restore power, restart your vehicle, and drive it to the nearest Ford Dealer.
If you are uncomfortable or do not wish to follow these steps, call Ford Roadside Assistance at 1-800-241-3673.
Opening the Frunk

- A 12V jump box.
- Another vehicle with jumper cables.
- Locate the small door covering on the front, right-hand side bumper, below the headlight.
Press firmly on the top-right of the edge, then pull the raised section on the bottom left toward you to take the cover off.
Pull the two wires out of the opening. The red cable (A) is positive. The black cable (B) is negative.
- Connect the external power supply to both terminals.
Note: Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for external power supply use.Warning: You must attach the red positive (+) cable to the red positive terminal and the black negative (-) cable to the black negative terminal.
