Can I use my BlueOval Charge Network account abroad?
Yes, you can use your BlueOval™ Charge Network account to charge your electric vehicle when traveling in Canada and the United States (U.S.). However, some payment methods may differ.
Vehicles Sold in the U.S. Visiting Canada
When traveling to Canada, you may need to change your payment method before charging on the BlueOval Charge Network. Ford of Canada does not currently accept American Express® and Discover® cards. If you have one of these cards set as your default payment method, you will need to switch to either a Visa® or Mastercard® in your digital wallet to prevent service interruption.
Note: If your BlueOval Charge Network account has been placed "On Hold" due to payment issues within Canada, ensure you have a Visa or Mastercard added to your digital wallet, and set it as your default payment method before you reprocess the failed payment through the connected services web page.
When charging in Canada, your payment transactions will be processed in Canadian dollars by Ford Motor Company, Limited (Ford of Canada). Since your payment will not be converted to your local currency, you will not be charged conversion fees.
