Ready to Connect? Here’s How:

Download FordPass from the App Store® or Google Play™ and follow the prompts to set up your account.

  1. Make sure your vehicle is turned off, then select Add to add your vehicle.
  2. Scan or type in your VIN.
  3. Name your vehicle.
  4. Select Activate Vehicle.

FAQs

Are complimentary remote features available for my vehicle?

Ford is the only non-luxury automaker to offer complimentary remote features to all customers with FordPass Connect (embedded modem). All 2021 model-year and newer Ford vehicles are equipped with FordPass Connect.

What do I need to do before I can start using Connect and Control?

Make sure you're fully connected:

 

  1. Your vehicle needs an active FordPass Connect embedded modem
  2. Your vehicle needs to be added to the FordPass App garage
How do I remove a vehicle from the app garage?
  1. First, go to the Vehicle tab
  2. Then scroll to the bottom of the screen
  3. Tap the Remove Vehicle button
  4. You’ve successfully removed your vehicle
What should I do if remote start stops working?
  1. Make sure you’re logged into FordPass with the correct credentials
  2. Make sure your vehicle isn’t in Deep Sleep Mode
  3. Check your instrument cluster to see that Remote Start is on

    - Navigate to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Start > System
    - Set Remote Start to on

  4. Make sure your hood and trunk are closed
  5. Verify that the Check Engine Light isn’t on - Check the FordPass message center for Check Engine Light notifications
  6. You’ll have to resolve any Check Engine Light causes before you can use the app’s remote start feature

Connected service and features depend on compatible AT&T network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features. Connected service excludes Wi-Fi hotspot.
