The F-Series was introduced for the 1948 model year as the first Ford postwar, newly designed truck line.
The F-Series is the Ford family of full-size and medium-duty trucks. It includes the light-duty F-150®, full-size Super Duty® pickup and chassis-cab trucks, and the commercial F-650® and F-750®.
The lineup includes the F-150®, Super Duty F-250®, F-350®, and F-450® pickups; F-350®, F-450®, F-550®, and F-600® chassis-cab trucks; and the medium-duty F-650® and F-750®.
A chassis-cab truck is sold with the cab, frame, drivetrain, and front bodywork but without a factory pickup bed. An upfitter can install a dump body, service body, flatbed, ambulance body, or other equipment.
