SiriusXM Traffic works in conjunction with your Navigation System to deliver comprehensive traffic information directly to your vehicle in over 100 markets throughout the U.S. and Canada. Get information on:

Traffic Speed and Flow

SiriusXM Traffic updates appear on your vehicle's GPS map color coded next to the roads as green, yellow or red lines, indicating the speed of traffic flow.

Accidents, Construction and Road Closures

Traffic alerts - including incidents such as accidents, disabled vehicles and road closures - appear as icons and text descriptions for your travel route and beyond.

Alternative Route Guidance and Mapping

Displayed on the in-vehicle Navigation System, traffic data provided by SiriusXM lets you choose which routes to use or avoid because of congestion.

What is SiriusXM Satellite Radio?

SiriusXM is like nothing you've ever heard before - it's a whole new world of radio. Imagine channels and channels of anything you want to listen to. Commercial-free music, all your favorite sports, exclusive talk and entertainment, plus comedy, news, traffic, weather and more. All with digital-quality sound, coast-to-coast. There's no downloading, no managing playlists, nothing. Just a ton of great stuff right at your fingertips.

How is SiriusXM different from regular radio?

SiriusXM provides entertainment with no static and coast-to-coast coverage - you can drive from NY to LA without changing the channel. In addition to commercial-free music, there are original formats you can't find on regular radio. Imagine a whole channel of Elvis or Frank Sinatra. Or channels dedicated exclusively to singer-songwriters, or old skool rap, or jam bands. As for talk and entertainment, we've got the biggest names. And on satellite, they do the shows they want, how they want - which equals genuine, uncensored entertainment for you. Want sports? We bring you every team and every game from every major sport - no matter where you live. But that's just the beginning. Think 24/7 talk channels for each of the biggest leagues. With inside, fanatical things like driver feeds during NASCAR races, the NFL Draft, a full-time fantasy sports channel, and more. And when's the last time you listened to comedy on the radio? Probably never. But trust us, it's good. If you think about it, we're really more like entertainment heaven than just radio. And that's why there's no really no comparison. How does SiriusXM compare to a fully loaded iPod or streaming music services?

Unlike an iPod, satellite radio doesn't require any work. There's no downloading, no building a library, no managing playlists. In fact, you don't have to think about what you want to hear. You just pop on SiriusXM. Most streaming music services, although free, are programmed by computers and algorithms. Where's the romance in that? Where's the passion? How do I know if my vehicle's radio has SiriusXM?

Satellite radio-equipped vehicles have radios with a 12-digit Electronic Serial Number (ESN) that is used to identify the receiver. Refer to your vehicle owner guide for details on obtaining the ESN for your specific radio.

How do I activate my SiriusXM radio?

All satellite radio-equipped Ford vehicles include a six-month factory subscription that begins automatically on the date of vehicle purchase. SiriusXM Listener Care may assist with reactivation of your radio by calling 1-888-539-7474.
