The available B20-capable 6.7L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V8 delivers best-in-class* 925 lb.-ft. of torque. The unique Power Stroke inverse-flow configuration locates the turbocharger between the cylinder heads and the top of the block, with the exhaust manifold inboard and close to the turbocharger, for faster air displacement and more power. Also, the compacted graphite iron engine block is stronger yet lighter than cast iron.

Upgraded Diesel Engine-Exhaust Braking

The 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel has a Smart Exhaust Brake function. When activated, it restricts the turbocharger's exhaust flow to generate back pressure and slow the vehicle for greater control while going downhill. Also, brake fade and lining wear are reduced, lowering the cost of maintenance. Three settings are available: On, Off, and Auto that modulates engine braking to help maintain speed based on accelerator and brake pedal use.

6.2L FFV Gas V8

No other gas-powered full-size pickup matches the 430 lb.-ft. of torque of the Super Duty® 6.2L flex-fuel V8.* Improved to increase peak torque at lower rpm, the 6.2L generates higher torque throughout the midrange and runs more efficiently at lower speeds. Shifting is more seamless with the new Ford TorqShift® G 6-speed (F-250). Plus, optional Live-Drive Power Takeoff (PTO) Provision with Mobile Mode is now available with the 6.2L (F-350).

Alternative Fuel Capacity

Compressed natural gas (CNG) and propane are alternative fuels to unleaded gasoline with the CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package* available on Super Duty® powered by the 6.2L gas V8. What's more, the CNG/Propane Package with the addition of the necessary upfits for bi-fuel capability enables the 6.2L V8 to run on either liquefied propane gas or unleaded gas.
*Vehicle will be equipped with the standard factory gasoline fuel system. The CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package includes hardened exhaust valves and valve seats. It does not include compressed natural gas/propane fuel tanks and lines, etc. See your dealer for details.

Live-drive power takeoff provision for gas and diesel engines

Class-Exclusive Live-Drive Power Takeoff Provision with Mobile Mode

Available class-exclusive* Live-Drive Power Takeoff (PTO) Provision with Mobile Mode** is built into the transmission, reducing upfitting time. An output gear connected to the crankshaft powers a PTO when the engine is running, whether in motion or stopped. “Split-shaft” capability (diesel) generates greater power with a more direct output shaft to the transmission. Multiple accessories can be operated at the same time when the truck is stopped.
