Who leaves ratings and reviews?

Ratings and reviews are provided by customers who have either purchased a vehicle or visited a dealership for service.

How are ratings and reviews collected?

Customers are invited to participate in a survey administered by MaritzCX, an independent, third-party supplier.

Can dealerships edit or remove reviews?

No. Ford personnel and/or dealership personnel cannot modify or remove reviews.

Are reviews modified or monitored before being published?

MaritzCX moderates public reviews to ensure they contain content that meet Review guidelines, such as:

‣No Profanity or inappropriate defamatory remarks

‣Fraud

‣No Personal Identifying information (e.g., customer phone number or email)

‣No Competitor references (e.g., another brand or dealership)

‣Dangerous behavior (e.g. threatening to harm employees or others)

‣Lack of adequate text (e.g., symbols, emoji’s and random letters)

Reviews on the product and not the customer’s Sales or Service experience

How do I pair my phone with my vehicle?

To use any SYNC^®*or Ford Digital Experience phone features, connect or "pair" your Bluetooth^®-enabled device to your infotainment system using the instructions below.

Pairing Your Phone

Important: Your vehicle must be parked and running, and in an open location (e.g., free of overhead foliage, ceilings, etc.).

Based on your vehicle's touchscreen display, select Ford Digital Experience or a SYNC generation from the drop-down options below for instructions on how to connect your phone or device. If you need assistance identifying your SYNC generation, refer to the SYNC Visual Reference Guide.

Connecting Your First Device

Enable Bluetooth on your device. Refer to your device's operating manual or the manufacturer's website, as instructions vary by manufacturer and model.
Tap Add phone on your vehicle's Ford Digital Experience screen.
Select Add device. Ford Digital Experience will search for nearby available devices. The screen should display your device.
Choose your device on your vehicle's screen. A passcode will display on the screen and on your device.
Confirm the passcodes match and select the option to pair.

Note: If the passcodes do not match, repeat the pairing process from step 1 until the passcodes match.
Answer any prompts or questions that may appear.

Once all prompts have been answered, your device will be paired with your Ford Digital Experience system.

Connecting Additional Devices

Tap Add phone on your vehicle's Ford Digital Experience screen.
Select the Settings tile.
Press the Apps icon on the left side of the Ford Digital Experience screen and swipe up.
Select the Vehicle icon on the left side of your vehicle's screen.
Choose Bluetooth.
Tap Add device. Ford Digital Experience will search for nearby available devices. The vehicle's screen should display your device.
Select your device on your vehicle's screen. A passcode will display on your vehicle's screen and on your device.
Confirm the passcodes match and select the option to pair.

Note: If the passcodes do not match, repeat the pairing process from step 1 until the passcodes match.
Answer any prompts or questions that may appear.

Once all prompts have been answered, your device will be paired with your Ford Digital Experience system.

Why is my phone not connecting to SYNC?

Verify the code on the SYNC screen matches the passcode on your phone, and pair them.

The SYNC screen will indicate that you have successfully paired your phone.

Pairing a Non-phone Bluetooth-Enabled Device (iPad^®, Tablet, etc.)

Enable Bluetooth on your device. Refer to your device's operating manual or the manufacturer's website, as instructions vary by manufacturer and model.
Tap Settings or the Home icon on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
Select Connectivity.
Press Bluetooth.
Turn Bluetooth on by tapping the slider.
Select Add a Bluetooth Device. A prompt on the device will alert you to search for your vehicle.
Select your vehicle on the device. A number will appear on your device and on the SYNC screen.
Confirm the number on your device matches the number on the SYNC screen, and pair them.

The SYNC screen will indicate that you have successfully paired your device.

Tap Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
Select Add a Phone on your vehicle's SYNC screen and follow the prompts. Once all prompts have been selected, a passcode will appear on your phone and your vehicle's SYNC screen.
Verify the code on your vehicle's SYNC screen matches the passcode on your phone.
- If the code matches, select the option to pair.
- If the code does not match, repeat the pairing steps from the beginning until the codes match.

Pairing a Non-phone Bluetooth-Enabled Device (iPad^®, Tablet, Etc.)

Enable Bluetooth on your device. Refer to your device's operating manual or the manufacturer's website, as instructions vary by manufacturer and model.
Tap Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
Press Connectivity.
Select Bluetooth.
Choose Add a Bluetooth Device. A prompt on the device will alert you to search for your vehicle.
Select the vehicle on your device. A passcode will appear on your device and on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
Verify the code on your vehicle's SYNC screen matches the passcode on your device.
- If the code matches, select the option to pair.
- If the code does not match, repeat the pairing steps from the beginning until the codes match.

Once successfully paired, you will receive a confirmation message on your vehicle's SYNC screen.

Why is my phone not connecting to SYNC?

Press the Phone button on your vehicle's SYNC screen.

Select your mobile device.
Scan on your phone until SYNC is found.
Select SYNC and wait for a 6-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) to display.
Confirm the PIN displayed on your mobile device matches the PIN displayed on the SYNC screen.

Note: If the PIN is not displayed on your device, manually enter the PIN.
Respond to any prompts or questions that may appear on your mobile device or SYNC screen.

The SYNC screen will indicate that you have successfully paired your device.

Why is my phone not connecting to SYNC?

Press the Phone button on the radio unit.
Select Add Device.

Note: You may need to use the seek buttons or directional arrows to navigate until it is displayed.
Press OK.
Select Discover other BT Devices and press OK.
Go to the Bluetooth Settings on your mobile device, and select SYNC. A 6-digit passcode will be displayed on the screen. It will stay on the screen for up to 3 minutes while pairing is completed.

Note: Some devices search for the SYNC system automatically, while others may prompt you to search for it.
Confirm the passcode on your phone matches the passcode on the SYNC screen.
Enter the passcode displayed on the SYNC screen onto your phone and press Enter or Confirm.
Press Yes on the SYNC screen and OK on your mobile device.
Respond to any prompts or questions that may appear on your device or SYNC screen.

The SYNC screen will indicate that you have successfully paired your device.

Note: Your device may ask you to enter the 6-digit PIN.
Respond to any prompts or questions that may appear on your device or SYNC screen.

Select SYNC when your mobile device finds it. Depending on your software version, your device may prompt you to enter the 6-digit PIN, or it may display the PIN automatically.

The SYNC screen will indicate that you have successfully paired your mobile device.

1. Press the Phone button on the radio unit.
2. Use the seek buttons or the directional arrows to navigate to Add Bluetooth Device and press OK. Find SYNC will be displayed.
3. Press OK. A 6-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) will be displayed on the screen for up to 3 minutes while pairing is completed.
Go to the Bluetooth Settings and select SYNC on your mobile device.

Note: Some devices search automatically. Others require you to search for SYNC.
Enter the PIN shown on the vehicle's SYNC screen into your mobile device and press Enter.
Respond to any prompts or questions that may appear on your device or SYNC screen.

The SYNC screen will indicate that you have successfully paired your mobile device.

Why is my phone not connecting to SYNC?

Notes:

If a phone is deleted/removed from SYNC or SYNC is deleted/removed from a device, a new pairing will be required.
The pairing process can be different on each phone. Watching both the phone and the SYNC system for any messages is the best way to successfully connect a phone.

What should I do if text messaging is not working?

^*Don’t drive while distracted or while using handheld devices. Use voice-operated systems when possible. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
