What do I do if I am unable to add my VIN to the FordPass®* App?
The FordPass App is compatible with:
- Ford vehicles
- 2020 Model Year Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV)
If you are unable to add your VIN, try the troubleshooting steps below:
Tip 1: Check the VIN.
Ensure you entered the correct VIN:
- Enter all 17 characters of the VIN.
- VINs do not include the letters I, O, and Q to avoid confusion with the numbers 1 (one) and 0 (zero).
Tip 2: Scan the VIN.
You have the option to automatically add the VIN by scanning the VIN barcode on your door label.
If you are still experiencing issues, contact a FordPass Guide for assistance:
- Login to the FordPass App.
- Tap Help at the bottom of the screen.
- Select your preferred contact method.
Tip 3: Lincoln Vehicles
If you have a Lincoln Vehicle, download the Lincoln Way™** App.
Tip 4: Electric Vehicles
If you have an electric vehicle, download the MyFord® Mobile App.
