Why am I receiving Zone Light alert messages?

When using the Zone Lighting feature, you may receive one or several alerts in the FordPass®* App and or on your vehicle's SYNC©** screen, related to:

  • Switching off the lights or making the lights available. Zone Lighting cannot be used if the lights are being used or is used by another feature. 
  • Your vehicle has to be parked properly. Trying to use the feature while it’s not parked will result in alerts. 
  • Low Battery Warning messages or alerts will pop up when the vehicle battery is low on power and will cause the feature to turn off.
  • Connectivity issues can happen as a result of Customer Connectivity Settings not being configured correctly and events that lead to bad or loss of connectivity will cause the feature to stop working. For successful use of the feature, FordPass needs to be on a continuous and stable connection.
