Why Is Schedule Remote Start Missing from the FordPass® App?
Before using the Remote Features of the FordPass App:
- Ensure your vehicle is equipped with FordPass® Connect
- Add your vehicle to the FordPass App
- Activate your vehicle in the Fordpass App
- Enable Connectivity Settings in your vehicle
If the Schedule Remote Start option is missing from your FordPass App, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Tip # 1: Log off and log back in to FordPass
- Log off FordPass.
- Account > Scroll down > Log out
- Log back in to FordPass.
- Check to see if you are able to view the Schedule Remote Start option.
Tip # 2: Turn off Connectivity Settings on your vehicle's SYNC® screen and turn them back on
- Turn off Connectivity Settings.
- Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen > FordPass Connect > Connectivity Settings > Slide to Off.
- Perform a key cycle.
- Turn vehicle off > open driver's door and lock the door > close the driver's door > wait two minutes > restart vehicle.
- Turn Connectivity Settings back on.
- Perform a key cycle.
- Check to see if you are able to view the Schedule Remote Start option.
Tip # 3: Remove the VIN and add it back
- Remove the VIN from the FordPass App.
- Home > Vehicle Details > Scroll down > Remove Vehicle.
- Add the VIN back.
- Activate the vehicle.
- Vehicle Details > Activate Vehicle > Start your vehicle > Press Allow on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
If you are unable to delete an existing scheduled start or need additional assistance, tap Help in the FordPass App to contact a FordPass Guide. They will help you remove the scheduled start.
