When Kevin was deployed in Afghanistan, he saw firsthand how much comfort a therapy dog could bring to soldiers in the most stressful conditions imaginable. Though he’s left the service, Kevin continues to serve. He’s dedicated himself to helping vets through animal-assisted therapy. Today, he and his dog, Ellie, pursue that mission through their work with the University of Minnesota PAWS program at Boynton Health. To help empower the next generation of leaders, Ford donated, on Kevin’s behalf, backpacks to his fellow Tillman Scholars as well as $10,000 to the Pat Tillman Foundation. For all he has done and for all he’ll do in the future. Kevin is a worthy member of the Hall of Heroes.
