SYNC® 4

The new generation of SYNC®* gives you control of the innovative tech in your Transit, running on an all-new 12-inch screen. Available enhanced voice recognition, cloud-based connectivity and driver assist technologies bring you a seamless and personalized driving experience. *You can also add optional features like Navigation, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (iACC) and Intersection Assist.

FORD CO-PILOT360™ TECHNOLOGY

2022 Transit models have standard and available Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology that can help you navigate our crowded roads and highways with confidence.10 Features included are Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane-Keeping System and Auto High-Beam Headlamps.

AUTO HIGH-BEAM HEADLAMPS

You might not think of manually turning your high beams on or off every time you need to. That’s why the driver-activated standard Auto High-Beam Headlamps are so helpful — they can do that for you, automatically.10 When you’re on a dark road with no traffic, the high beams come on. But when a vehicle is approaching with headlamps on or traveling ahead with taillamps visible, the system will dim to low beams to reduce glare.

LANE-KEEPING SYSTEM

With a camera scanning lane markings ahead, the standard Lane-Keeping System* can assist you when you drift out of your lane10 . The Lane-Keeping Alert mode warns you with wheel vibrations simulating a rumble strip. When you are slow to react or don’t respond, Lane-Keeping Assist can provide steering torque to help guide you safely back into the correct lane. Set the system to activate either the Alert or Assist mode, or both.
*Lane-Keeping System does not control steering and does not replace safe driving.

INTELLIGENT ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

Available on select Ford vehicles is a series of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) features employing advanced radar and camera technology.10 ACC lets you set a cruising speed and distance from the vehicle ahead of you. When it slows down, you automatically do too; when traffic picks back up, you resume your preset speed and distance. Then comes ACC with Stop-and-Go, which enables you to come to a complete stop when the vehicle ahead stops. * Now add Lane Centering, which scans the lane markings to help you stay in your lane if the system detects you’re drifting out of it. And that’s not all. Now there’s Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, which includes all of these features plus new Speed Sign Recognition that can automatically adjust the set speed of your vehicle to the posted speed limit.
*If the vehicle is stopped for more than three seconds, the driver must intervene and press the “RES” button or accelerator pedal to resume system operation.

POST-COLLISION BRAKING

This driver-assist feature can potentially lessen the severity of a secondary collision by automatically applying moderate brake pressure when an initial collision event is detected.10

FORWARD COLLISION WARNING

Forward Collision Warning can alert you if it senses a potential collision with a vehicle in front of you. A display flashes on the windshield, and the system provides an audible warning. If you don’t react in time, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you do brake.10

360-DEGREE CAMERA

This system gives you a 360-degree view of what’s around your vehicle. The camera mounted in the grille shows what’s in front of you and helps you avoid any obstacle that gets in your way. It can give you added confidence when pulling out of a driveway, a parking spot or while maneuvering.

ADJUSTABLE SPEED LIMITING DEVICE (ASLD)

The cruise control on the 2022 Transit offers an Adjustable Speed Limiting Device. It’s great for city driving because it allows the driver to set an upper-speed limit for the vehicle. If the vehicle begins to approach the upper-speed limit, then an audible and visual warning are given.

HILL START ASSIST

Hill Start Assist temporarily keeps you from rolling backward or forward when starting on a hill. The system works by maintaining pressure to the braking system for an extra 2.5 seconds, giving you more time and control as you move your foot from brake pedal to accelerator.

PRE-COLLISION ASSIST WITH AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING (AEB)

This Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology feature can help reduce the severity of, and possibly eliminate, a frontal collision with a vehicle directly in front of you. * The system’s camera can detect a potential collision and then provides audio and visual warnings. And Automatic Emergency Braking can even apply the brakes if necessary.10
