ALL-WHEEL DRIVE

Available Intelligent AWD balances torque between the front and rear wheels to enhance handling and maximize traction, typically before wheelslip can even occur. This provides added confidence on loose surfaces like dirt or gravel and often rainy or snowy weather.

RANGE OF GVWR AND PAYLOAD RATINGS

Configure a Transit Cutaway or Chassis Cab to match your business needs across a wide range of gross vehicle weight and payload ratings in single- and dual-rear-wheel models. GVWRs range from 9,070 lbs. to 11,000 lbs. Maximum payloads less body weight are 4,430 lbs. to 6,390 lbs.*
*Max payload varies and is based on accessories and vehicle configuration. See label on door jamb for carrying capacity of a specific vehicle.

BUILT TO HANDLE THE JOB

The Ford Transit has been subjected to seven million customer-equivalent miles of testing in our labs and proving grounds. Testing was also held on roads and highways across America at temperatures ranging from -40 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. We used trucks driven by robots at our Michigan Proving Grounds facility to conduct tests that would be too strenuous for human drivers over an extended period of time. Our objective: enable Transit to offer strength and dependability on your everyday jobs.
