ALL THE PULLING MUSCLE YOU CAN HANDLE.

Torque rules in the hardworking world of heavy-duty pickups, especially when hauling and towing huge loads. And here, not surprisingly, the Ford Super Duty® rules. The 6.2L gas V8, with its best-in-class torque,* delivers more heavy work-capable muscle. Need the severe-duty stamina of a durable, powerful diesel? Ready to join your workforce is the available Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8, the class leader in horsepower and torque.*
*When properly equipped. Class is Full-Size Pickups over 8,500 lbs. GVWR based on Ford segmentation.

6.7L POWER STROKE® TURBO DIESEL

The available B20-capable 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8 delivers best-in-class* 925 lb.-ft. of torque. The Power Stroke features a unique inverse-flow configuration: the exhaust manifolds and turbocharger are mounted between the cylinder heads above the engine block. This inboard configuration allows a large single turbocharger to be mounted closer to the exhaust manifolds for faster air displacement and more power. Another notable feature is the compacted graphite iron engine block that is stronger yet lighter than cast iron.
*When properly equipped. Class is Full-Size Pickups over 8,500 lbs. GVWR based on Ford segmentation.

OPERATOR-COMMANDED REGENERATION WITH ACTIVE INHIBIT

Some operating conditions, such as idling for long periods, don’t generate enough engine heat to enable the diesel engine to automatically burn off soot in the diesel particulate filter (DPF). That’s where the available Operator-Commanded Regeneration with Active Inhibit comes in. The active inhibit feature lets the driver delay regeneration if the vehicle is sitting over combustible materials such as dry leaves or grass. Once the vehicle is in a safe place, the driver can then manually start the regeneration process.

DIESEL ENGINE-EXHAUST BRAKING

The 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel incorporates a Smart Exhaust Brake function. When activated with a button on the instrument panel, the engine brake restricts the turbocharger’s exhaust flow to generate back pressure and slow the vehicle. The main benefit is greater control while traveling downhill, regardless of vehicle load or road grade. Also, because the engine brake helps minimize having to apply pedal pressure, brake fade and lining wear are reduced, lowering the cost of maintenance. Three settings are available: On, Off, and Auto. The Auto setting modulates engine braking as needed to help maintain the speed you want based on accelerator and brake pedal use.

6.2L FFV GAS V8

No other gas-powered heavy-duty full-size pickup matches the 430 lb.-ft. of torque of the Super Duty® 6.2L flex-fuel V8.* Engineered to deliver peak torque at lower rpm, the 6.2L generates high torque throughout the midrange and runs efficiently at lower speeds. Shifting is noticeably seamless with the Ford TorqShift® G 6-speed (F-250). Plus, optional Live-Drive Power Takeoff (PTO) Provision with Mobile Mode is available with the 6.2L in the F-350.

*Class is Full-Size Pickups over 8,500 lbs. GVWR based on Ford segmentation.

FORD TORQSHIFT® G SELECTSHIFT® 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC

The 6.2L gas V8 with best-in-class torque* features the Ford TorqShift® G SelectShift® 6-speed automatic in the F-250. Experience responsive power delivery and seamlessly smooth shifting. SelectShift includes Progressive Range Select (for overdrive lock-out) plus Full Manual. Tow/Haul minimizes gear hunting uphill; downhill, it prevents upshifting and gaining speed, reducing brake pressure.

FORD TORQSHIFT® SELECTSHIFT® 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC

The Ford TorqShift® SelectShift® 6-speed automatic* has big, strong gears that easily handle the heavy torque demands of the turbo diesel and gas engines. Fewer rpm are required because the torque converter locks up at lower speeds. SelectShift includes Progressive Range Select (for overdrive lock-out) plus Full Manual. Tow/Haul minimizes gear hunting uphill; downhill, it prevents upshifting and gaining speed, reducing brake pressure.
*Standard transmission in F-250 diesel only F-350 and F-450

LIVE-DRIVE POWER TAKEOFF PROVISION WITH MOBILE MODE

Whether your Super Duty® runs on diesel or gas power, you have available the optional class-exclusive* Live-Drive Power Takeoff (PTO) Provision with Mobile Mode.** An output gear connected to the crankshaft powers a PTO when the engine is running, whether in motion or stopped. “Split-shaft” capability (diesel) generates greater power with a more direct output shaft to the transmission. Multiple accessories can be operated at the same time when the truck is stopped.

*Class is Full-Size Pickups over 8,500 lbs. GVWR based on Ford segmentation.

**Requires aftermarket power takeoff (PTO) accessory.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WITH COLLISION WARNING

Available Adaptive Cruise Control slows you down as traffic ahead slows, then resumes the preset speed when traffic picks back up. The Collision Warning/Brake Support feature precharges the brakes for full responsiveness if you don’t react in time. It’s integrated into the trailer brake controller for added security when you’re towing a heavy load.10
