2.7L EcoBoost® V6 with Auto Start-Stop Technology

The 2.7L EcoBoost delivers robust performance, with up to 8,500 lbs. of maximum towing and 2,210 lbs. of maximum payload. It features twin turbochargers for on-demand power, upper block and cylinders made of the same compacted graphite iron used in the 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel, twin independent variable cam timing, plus a variable-displacement oil pump and piston connecting rods that use an offset I-beam that provides strength while reducing weight for better responsiveness. It also includes Auto Start-Stop Technology, which shuts off the engine when you come to a stop to save fuel.
3.5L Ti-VCT V6

3.5L Ti-VCT V6

The 3.5L Ti-VCT FFV V6 is engineered to handle demanding everyday jobs while keeping operating costs as low as possible. With advanced twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) technology, the cams open/close the valves in precise duration to suit the operating conditions. Power output is optimized at every point across the performance band.

5.0L Ti-VCT V8

5.0L Ti-VCT V8

This muscular engine is built to handle heavy on-the-job hauling. Twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) technology optimizes performance across the entire low, mid and high ranges of the power band to match the driving conditions, all the while burning fuel efficiently. It boasts an increase of 22 more horsepower and 7 more lb.-ft. of torque, plus a 16 percent better power-to-weight ratio than the previous generation 5.0L V8,* along with best-in-class maximum 3,270 lbs. payload.** A CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package is available for conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane autogas.*** A Snow Plow Prep Package is also available.

10-Speed Transmission

New 10-Speed Transmission

For 2017, F-150 pairs an all-new 10-speed transmission with its 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine. The transmission delivers improved acceleration and performance compared with previous six-speed automatic transmissions, thanks to optimized wide-span gear spacing, coupled with drag-reduction actions. Three overdrive gears and a wider ratio span help improve fuel efficiency at highway speeds, while maintaining F-150’s best-in-class towing. The 10-speed transmission uses advanced materials and alloys to save weight, which translates into enhanced shifting performance.
DOHC 24-valve, high-output 3.5L EcoBoost® engine

Raptor DOHC 24-valve, high-output 3.5L EcoBoost® engine

The all-new, twin-turbo, intercooled DOHC 24-valve, high-output 3.5L EcoBoost®with port fuel injection and direct fuel injection is projected to deliver even more power than the previous 6.2L V8. A 10-speed automatic transmission with manual-shifting mode allows you to have control over gear selection without requiring the driver to operate a clutch.
