Turn-by-turn directions

Don't want to buy a new navigation system but need directions? No problem. By using available SYNC Services129 with turn-by-turn directions, you can get where you want to go. The system delivers voice directions to your destination over your audio system speakers, and even lets you store frequently used locations such as "Home."

Send to SYNC®

With available SYNC Services you can plan your route from your home or office computer. The Send to SYNC® feature lets you use Google Maps™132 or MapQuest®133 via your computer to locate a destination, then send it to your vehicle's SYNC® system for directions. Look up directions online and use the “Send” menu on the site. Then just hop into your car. SYNC Services will prompt you to download the directions to your chosen destination and then read them to you turn-by-turn.

Available voice-activated navigation

The available voice-activated Navigation System with SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link combines Global Positioning System (GPS) technology with 3-D mapping and provides turn-by-turn navigation. You get continuously updated directions, information on weather, traffic delays and alternate route suggestions, local gas prices, movie listings, sports scores, and more.34 Included with the system is a 10GB digital Jukebox98 that can hold up to 2,400 songs. You can even watch a video on the navigation screen when the vehicle is in park.

Available SD card navigation

For more graphic driving instructions, add SD card navigation to your SYNC® with MyFord Touch® system and you'll get maps with 3-D building icons. Plus, you'll get access to other useful features such as WikiCities (which provides business information and reviews), points-of-interest search and expanded recognition of voice commands such as “I'm hungry.”97

Choose your route

Once you've selected your destination, you can choose from three route suggestions: shortest, fastest and Eco-Route.97 The shortest isn't always the fastest, because it might rely on surface streets with slower speed limits and stoplights. Eco-Route calculates the way that can help reduce your carbon footprint based on speed limits, stoplights, traditional traffic patterns and similar information.
