  • AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™

    AdvanceTrac® with RSC® uses two gyroscopic sensors to monitor both yaw rate and roll rate. This allows AdvanceTrac with RSC to help you maintain control whenever it detects wheelslip, understeer, oversteer or roll motion. It also helps maintain control in adverse road conditions such as ice, gravel or rain.* AdvanceTrac with RSC also features Curve Control, which will slow the vehicle down when it senses that it is going too fast for a particular curve. It’s always active in helping you maintain control around the curves.

  • 6-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission

To add a little extra fun to your Escape, standard SelectShift® capability delivers the performance control of a manual transmission without the clutch. Using a switch on the transmission lever, you can easily and quickly shift gears.


  • Torque Vectoring Control

    G forces in a corner transfer more traction to your outside tires than to your inside ones. Torque Vectoring Control enhances that by transferring torque to the wheels that have the most grip. It virtually eliminates understeer, forcing the front end to hug the inside of each curve. Translation: More agility and sporty handling in the turns.


  • MyKey®

    MyKey technology lets you program individual keys, so that two members of a household could share a car, yet have personalized settings take effect when they use their unique keys. MyKey is designed to help parents encourage teenagers to drive safely. It lets you designate a key that will operate special features. For example, you can restrict the vehicle’s top speed to 65, 70, 75 or 80 mph and limit the entertainment system’s audio to 44 percent of maximum volume. It also provides a warning when the fuel tank reaches 75 miles to empty, allows you to select speed alert chimes at 45, 55 or 65 mph, and sets the Belt-Minder® to chime, while muting the audio system, until the safety belts are buckled.
