Focus models account for 90 percent of Ford vehicles available to college and university students through Zipcar, the world’s leading car sharing network.

Zipcar’s University programs provide students with access to automotive transportation without having to own a vehicle. Students, faculty and staff at participating colleges have 24/7 access to Zipcars located on campus, eliminating the costs and hassles of owning a car on campus. Low hourly and daily rates include the cost of fuel and insurance. Complete information is available at Zipcar.

The compact Focus is stylish, comfortable and practical, and offers high-tech features such as Ford SYNC®. The 2.0L Ti-VCT I-4 is highly fuel-efficient,* providing what environmentally minded and cost-conscious students want in a Zipcar vehicle.

The alliance between Ford and Zipcar offers $10 off the $35 annual membership fee for the first 100,000 new university members who sign up for Zipcar, plus $1 off the hourly rate for the first one million hours of use on any new Ford vehicle at select colleges and universities.

Ford and Zipcar have also joined forces to enable student organizations to contribute to their campuses and communities through the “Students with Drive” grant program, with grant amounts totaling $300,000. Students are encouraged to visit Zipcar’s University Facebook page at www.facebook.com/zipcarU to learn more and submit applications for their student organizations to win.

These systems may become damaged in a crash. The paired mobile phone must be connected to SYNC, and the 911 Assist feature enabled, in order for 911 to be dialed. When the feature is ON, 911 Assist uses your paired and connected mobile phone to assist occupants to contact emergency services by dialing 911 if your airbag deploys or, on certain vehicles, if the emergency fuel pump shut-off is activated.
